You can easily open a command prompt with elevated administrator rights in Windows 8. In fact, you don’t have to do much.
1. Restore the old Windows 7 Start menu
2. Enter cmd.exe into the search and right-click on the cmd.exe and click on Run as administrator
3. That’s all you have to do to open an elevated command prompt
4. Optionally, you can simply open the Windows 8 explorer, browse to C:Windowssystem32 and right-click on cmd.exe
